As we all know that summer is a beautiful season filled with bright days, vacations, and outdoor fun. But with rising temperatures and intense heat, it becomes crucial to take extra care of yourself. Everyone has to remember one thing for sure, staying hydrated to protecting your skin. These summer care tips will help you enjoy the season while staying healthy and glowing.

In summer many of us who are having oily skin has always tough time to maintain and keep healthy skin. We have natural remedies at home which is easy to maintain our body. All We need is to keep ourself focused on the care routine tasks. The most important element in the summer is clean and fresh water. Therefore, due to summer we frequently travel to relatives, attend weddings, home warming rituals, birthdays and often we go for shoppings. 1. Stay Hydrated Always

We know it but we ignore, summer heat can cause dehydration quickly. First thing, carry a bottle of water. If you are traveling with your family, you have to carry your personal water bottle. Thus, you won’t have shortage of water. Hence, drink plenty of water throughout the day, your kidney is the less active due to low urine ammonium excretion in summer and ready to function at its best. The reason is simple, we excrete most of the water through body skin in the form of sweat. Apart from water, selecting food is another crucial factor in the summer. We request you to include fresh juices, coconut water, and electrolyte-rich drinks to maintain your body’s water levels. Adequate level of water in the body will keep the body temperature well-maintained.

Tip: Carry a water bottle everywhere you go!

2. Protect Your Skin

Strong sun rays can damage your skin, leading to sunburn and premature aging. Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 before stepping out. It protect you from both UVA and UVB radiations. They are widely available and most used sunscreen lotions. If your travelling is very frequent say, three to four times in a day, make sure that you reapply every two hours if you’re spending a lot of time outdoors. You may also have to check side effects of sunscreen lotion and consult to your family doctor for skin type issues. Many times it has been observed skin rash, itching, swelling in some body parts like tongue, throat or face.

Tip: Wear lightweight, full-sleeved clothing, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat for added protection.

3. Eat Light and Fresh

Moreover, before you grab any food, you have to be choosy at what types of meal you select for lunch and dinner. Keep your breakfast full of liquid followed by lunch and dinner if possible. Heavy and oily foods can make you feel sluggish and uncomfortable during summer. We recommend you to be consistent and focused on a diet rich in seasonal fruits, salads, and veggies. It is best to have watermelon, cucumber, mangoes, and oranges in your refrigerator. Why many people eat watermelon? it is a simple scientific reason. It has citrulline, one of the amino acids that help your body blood move smoothly keeping blood pressure lower.

Tip: Avoid spicy and deep-fried foods to keep your digestion smooth.

4. Maintain Personal Hygiene

High temperature leads to excessive sweat and heat can lead to skin infections and body odor if there is no proper body maintenance. Yes, everything need maintenance and thus, take showers twice a day if necessary, you have adequate water available at home. And, never forget to wear breathable cotton clothes. Why Choose cotton? because it is most convenient for washing, and it absorb less heat. Therefore, cotton is very soft than any tother fabrics. Also, choose light, non-greasy moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated.

Tip: Keep antibacterial wipes or hand sanitizers handy while traveling.

5. Adjust Your Workout Routine

Make a habit of opening the body-skin pores naturally. Most of the people don’t go for exercise, they think winter is the best. Always remember, exercising during peak sunny hours can lead to heatstroke. Make sure you prefer early morning or evening time for workouts when the temperature is cooler. Choose indoor activities like yoga, pilates, or home workouts if it’s too hot outside. These workouts in the summers can be very beneficials and should immediately adapt based your body type. Some of the best workout including upper body, lower body and yoga.

Tip: Drink water before, during, and after your exercise sessions.

6. Take Care of Your Eyes

We often forget our most important part of the body and that is called Eyes. The intensity of the UV rays in the summer especially in the afternoon is very high. Therefore outdoor travel during the peak our can harm your eyes too. Our eyes are dedicated part of the body and made of glassy fluid called hyaluronic acid. Protect it with a lot of water intake and wear sunglasses that offer 100% UV protection. Splash cold water on your eyes multiple times a day to keep them fresh and strain-free. Do not use face wash frequently it can loose your protective body moisture.

7. Cool Your Home Naturally

Everyone struggles to keep their room cool in the summer. However, overusing air conditioners can also disturb natural cool air system at your home. Moreover, those who don’t have AC at home, use plants in the room that keep your air clean and cold. Use light-colored curtains, indoor plants like Ficus Benjamina, Ficus Elastica. And, cross-ventilation to keep your home cooler naturally. Also, staying indoors between 12 PM and 4 PM is the most advisable.
